Remote employees & clients engagement process concerns

working-from-homeBizbee has few of its customers are from Manufacturing and Packaging industries. They have slightly unique use cases when it comes to their remote employees working at client locations unlike regular software onsite-offsite model.

CURRENT SITUATION

These companies manufacture the complex machines, sell or rent them to their enterprise clients as these clients don’t deal with the making of machines related to – packaging, assembling, small component manufacturing etc. Along with machines, customers also places some of their expert employees in these client locations to manage & maintain these machines.  Now, enterprises concentrate more on their USP, by outsourcing mundane small & repetitive resource intensive tasks to small time SMB players.

These employees stays in the client location for about 2 to 3 months, and another set of employees is rotated after that. Also, the remote employees some times works in 2 to 3 shirts taking care of all the operations for maintenance & management of the machines. These employees are very critical in setting the expectations to the clients and act as bridge between the employer and remote client. Unless and until there is clear defined processes, the expectations mismatch between the both parties and the situation goes to chaos.
